Straw
Straw is Modular Lighting Instruments' take on linear lighting: a refined tube that hides seams and mechanics behind gentle curves. Designer Jeffrey Huyghe set out to reinvent the classic tubular profile for modern workplaces that need flexibility as much as clean aesthetics. A rotation system lets you turn the tube to shift between strong downlight, wall washing or soft uplight, so one product can serve different zones.
Modules click together mechanically and electrically without screws, making long lines or layered compositions practical on site. Straw is also available in Silk aluminium — a finely sanded, uncoated finish that develops a natural patina over time. As Modular's UK partner, Light Division uses Straw where architects want office-ready performance with a quieter architectural look.
