Modular wall lights for UK interiors
Light Division is the official UK partner for Modular Lighting Instruments. This product story maps four Modular wall families for UK hospitality, residential and circulation work: Duell, Sulfer, Nude Wall and Marbul. For a craft wall statement already published on this site, see Chival.

Duell Wall — soft up/down colour
Duell Wall is a soft up-and-down wall light for corridors, living rooms, hotels and other circulation spaces. Anodised and brushed finishes, including bronze, sit in Modular's colour stories alongside families such as Minude.
Modular describes a damp-rated version for bathroom or terrace continuity. Confirm the IP or damp rating on the live article for the exact code before specifying. Dimming options exist on the family; take the protocol from the article rather than inventing a list. Match finishes to adjacent Modular pieces where the colour story matters, and ask Light Division for samples before locking a hospitality palette.
Sulfer — square minimalist
Sulfer is a square wall luminaire with up and down light and a recessed diffuser for glare control. Optional beam plates give flood, medium or small distributions per Modular's product language.
The story covers indoor and outdoor use, with brushed bronze, silver bronze, champagne and black among the referenced finishes. It pairs visually with Minude, Thimble and Placebo; keep those as light companions rather than a second review.
Nude Wall — iconic cylinder
Nude Wall, designed by Joël Claisse, is a cylindrical wall light that can run up, down, or both. A thin edge and recessed source keep the profile quiet. Brushed anodised and powder colours are part of the story, with a colour family that can match Shellby, Thimble, Minude and Placebo.
Modular describes indoor and outdoor or IP-rated versions. Confirm the rating on the specific article before using Nude outdoors or in wet zones.
Marbul — sphere on wall, ceiling or track
Marbul, designed by Jeffrey Huyghe, uses spherical heads on recessed, surface, suspended and track mountings. Modular's FAQ on that page references 48V and 230V track options. For 48V magnetic track schemes, start from Pista Track 48V.
Adjustable versions are described with tilt up to 45° and 360° rotation on applicable articles; re-check the live page at specification time. Magnetic reflectors appear on applicable configs.
These four families cover most of the wall-light briefs Light Division sees from UK designers: soft corridor wash, square graphic rhythm, cylindrical icons and sculptural spheres. None of them is a retail "modular lamp" in the generic sense; they are architectural luminaires specified by article, finish and control protocol.
When a scheme needs ceiling accent as well as wall light, keep the Modular language consistent rather than mixing unrelated brands on the same elevation. That is usually easier to sample, price and maintain over the life of the fit-out.
Choosing for a UK brief
Circulation and hospitality warmth: Duell or Nude Wall.
Square graphic language or indoor-outdoor continuity: Sulfer.
Sculptural sphere and accent aim: Marbul.
Craft wall statement: Chival.
Recessed ceiling companions such as Minude sit in the same Modular ecosystem when a scheme needs more than wall light.
